He worked in Japan and internationally as a photographer in the music industry while based in Okinawa, before shifting his focus toward artistic practice following the Kumamoto earthquakes. After the disaster, he returned to his birthplace and began creating work centered on the relationship between people and the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This exhibition explores Seki\u2019s relationship with his hometown after the earthquakes, expressing his sense of Japanese identity and perceptions of nature, as well as his encounter with memories embedded in history. When he returned to his hometown for the first time in several decades, it differed from the place he remembered. He experienced a sense of distance caused by his inability to share the memories of the disaster, as well as uncertainty toward the changing landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through repeated photographic work, his previously uncertain relationship with the land gradually became clearer.
